Got up this morning, feeling good, the weather is good, I am feeling fresh, strange because I had a late night, logged onto the internet and got an email from a friend who sent me an RnB track by India Arie called 'There's Hope' so I listened to it and I tell you what, it's a lovely inspirational track, which I have been playing over and over today and even though I was feeling good anyway, listening to this track just capped it off... So for those who have not heard the track here are the lyrics and you understand why I played it over and over and over and over again - lol

Lyrics to India Arie There's Hope

(Verse 1):
Back when I had a little
I thought that I needed a lot
A little was over rated,
but a lot was a little too complicated
You see-Zero didn't satisfy me
A million didn't make me happy
That's when I learned a lesson
That it's all about your perception
Hey-are you a papa or a superstar
So you act, so you feel, so you are
It ain't about the size of your car
It's about the size of the faith in your heart

(Chorus)
There's hope
It doesn't cost a thing to smile
You don't have to pay to laugh
You better thank God for that
(repeat)

There's hope

(Verse 2):
Off in the back country of Brazil
A met a young brotha that made me feel
That I could accomplish anything.
You see just like me he wanted to sing
He had no windows and no doors

[ these lyrics found on http://www.completealbumlyrics.com ]

He lived a simple life and was extremely poor
On top of all of that he had no eye sight,
but that didn't keep him from seein' the light
He said, what's it like in the USA,
and all I did was complain
He said-living here is Paradise
He taught me paradise in in your mind
You know that

(Chorus)

(Bridge):
Every time I turn on the T.V. (There's Hope)
Somebody's acting crazy (There's Hope)
If you let it, it will drive you crazy (There's Hope)
but I'm takin' back my power today (There's Hope)
Gas prices they just keep on rising (There's Hope)
The government they keep on lying
but we gotta keep on surviving
Keep living our truth and do the best we can do

(Chorus)

Stand up for your rights (echo)
Keep shining your light (echo)
And show the world your smile (echo)
2x

(Chorus)

Life is just a drop in the ocean.

It’s been said that our life is comparable to a drop in the bucket. Although this may seem like an exaggeration, it is pretty close to the truth. While you may live to the ripe old age of 100, you could just as easily die tomorrow. There are no guarantees in this life. Sometimes you don’t always have as much time as you would like. This is why you must live every day like it was your last.

To live a fulfilling life, we must make the most of every minute. What can be done about this? Most people still have to work and support their basic needs. I’m not saying go to work and quit your job tomorrow. Even though you probably wouldn’t go to work if you knew you had only one day to live, this is not a wise move. Your life actually will be cut short if you don’t have food on the table. However, you can live with the right attitude no matter what you do on a daily basis.

Even if you have the most mundane job on the planet, do that job like you will never do it again. Focus on each task with the concentration that it deserves. Not only will you do your work better, but you will be much more productive. When you are productive, it comes with what is known as a “psychic income”. This is that good gut feeling that you get with a job well done. Would you want people to remember you as a clock-puncher that just coasted through life? Of course not! Be remembered as the leader! If you live this way it will not be long before you have what you really want out of life. It will always work out if you live this way. Promotions will be won. Relationships will be wonderful. It is truly a beautiful way to live.

When you leave home in the morning, don’t ever say anything that would not be considered good final words. Would you want your spouse to remember that the last conversation you had was a fight about money? No way! Always tell the people you love how you feel about them.

In every situation, make the most of the minutes that you have left on this planet. No one knows the hour or the day that they will leave. However, they can control their attitude in any given situation. Make the best of your situation and live like you were dying

Hope you have a pleasant day....

Search Search Search?

What are you searching for... Let's see, are you searching for money, are you searching for love? you searching for happiness? Are you searching to be a superstar? Are you searching to be a mega rich entrepreneur? Are you searching to be popular? Are you searching for attention? Well stop searching...

We keep searching for the goal, but is it really our goal that we are searching for and not that of others... let me give an example...

I see many people reach their goal.. They obtain a flash car, big house, and don the most stylish outfit… yet they do not own any of it, the banks do or maybe they obtained it from illegal activities… so yes it is easy to look the part, just get a loan and you can look like a million dollars… but time usually exposes these people because finance has a strange way of stripping people of their dreams…

Primarily if you can afford it, yes buy it.. But it don’t mean you’re happy, the problem is those who cannot afford it aspire to be like those who can, yet they fail to realise that those who can afford it are not always those who are satisfy with what they have…

So be careful of wrongly setting your goals. I will stress this till the day I die… regardless if you are rich, born in to richness or even if you lead a simple life or feel you are poor or are poor, just remember one thing, nothing can replace self contentment.

I have seen so many people meet their ‘Goals’ only to realise they are still not happy, which only concludes, that was not what they really wanted, they were aspiring to what would make others see them as successful

I want you to dig deep into your inner self and eliminate outside influences and find what it is YOU really you want, as daft as it maybe.

So before you start searching for something, start searching for what you really and truly want, forget TV, forget Radio, forget the magazines, forget Mr and Mrs Jones, it’s all about you, your ultimate goal should be contentment.

When you set your goals, keep asking yourself, is this what I really want, until you feel it and I mean really feel it.

PS: I have seen many people sell their soul to the devil to reach their goal and realise it’s not what they really wanted…. However if you are prepare to risk it, then of course go for it! but expect o be in for a rough ride.

If you are a first time goal setter, someone who is going to map out their life and plan the steps to get there, then you are on the right road. Setting goals can draw a blank mind, you may sit there and say I don't know what I want so how can I set my goals, this is perfectly natural. When setting goals, it's best to do so when the mind is active, lets say during the best part of your day or the quietest part of the day, maybe on holiday or even whilst shopping whatever is suited to you, as long as you set your goals.

As everyones goal is different, I think it is important to stress, there will be many different ways to approach goal setting, there are hundreds of articles on goal setting which is good for you as you can pick one that suits you. You'll find many right here on BPN. There'll be many techniques and solutions just choose one you like as long as whatever you do, you ensure you set you goals in life!

By the way when setting your goals you will confront challenges which may set you back, this is just normal, some are harder than others, but please continue. You will learn important lessons along the way.
